Beth Ellen Holimon

Beth Ellen Holimon has a broad professional background with expertise ranging from non-profit fund raising and management to business plan development.  As a past executive director, development director and financial advisor, Beth Ellen’s unique fifteen years of experience is ideal for communicating detailed organizational and financial information to a wide range of audiences.  Beth Ellen has procured millions of dollars through grants for non-profit organizations in the areas of human services, health, education and technical assistance in a period of three fiscal years.  She also has extensive experience writing annual reports, business plans and marketing materials for both the profit and non-profit arenas.  Ms. Holimon holds an M.A. from the University of South Florida and her B.A. from the University of Colorado.

Paul Holimon - Principal Editor

Paul Holimon has edited published work from diverse institutions such as the Florida Center for Community Design and Research and Louisiana State University's School of Landscape Architecture.  As co-chair of the accreditation committee at Gateway Charter High School in Fort Myers, Paul helped the school earn accreditation in less than two years. He shares his literary skills with his students at Golden Gate High School in Naples, Florida, where he enjoys his fifth year teaching English language arts.  As an educator, Paul views his profession as an opportunity to promote peace and civic-mindedness via literacy and critical inquiry.  He earned his B.A. in creative writing at the University of South Florida and his M.A. in education at Louisiana State University.

Scott Dunlap

Scott Dunlap has 25 years experience  in communications, business development, and operations management in both the private and public sectors.  He managed a wide variety of written communication for the City of Boston for 14 years. As Deputy Director of Government Relations, he led interdepartmental management teams in developing state and federal grant proposals. Later, as Director of Operations for the Mayor’s Office, Scott implemented policy directives and other communications between the Mayor’s Office and 60 city departments for a city with a workforce of 18,000 and an annual budget of $1.3 billion.  Additionally, Scott has provided communication, strategic planning and site management for national and regional political campaigns. He excels in the development of key messages and integrated branding strategies.  Scott’s detail-oriented personality led him to Bee Write to focus on his specialties in grant writing, speech writing, press relations, and editing. Scott attended Emerson College in Boston and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development.

Hannah Brenkert-Smith

Hannah Brenkert-Smith has been writing grants for research agendas for over five years and has obtained funds from federal agencies including the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  She has extensive experience writing research synopses and reports, has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals, and has been a fellow at the National Academies of Science.  She also has dedicated a great deal of time and effort to domestic and international volunteer efforts that contribute to social justice and environmental protection.  Hannah holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado, an M.A. from San Francisco State University, and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Colorado.
